HSK Level 4 is the core intermediate level of Chinese learning.
Learners need to master 2000 frequently-used words and related grammar knowledge, and proficiently recognize and write a large number of Chinese characters. They can communicate freely in various daily and social scenarios, express personal views and emotions coherently, and understand relatively complete dialogues and articles. The exam covers listening, reading and writing parts, involving topics like work, society, culture, emotion and life stories. It matches CEFR B2 level, allowing learners to deal with most study, work and daily communication affairs smoothly.
