HSK 1 Resources

HSK Level 1 is the beginner stage of Chinese learning.
Learners are expected to master around 300 words and use simple sentences for everyday communication. The exam focuses on basic tasks such as self-introduction, shopping, asking for directions, ordering food, and talking about time. Topics include personal information, family, study, weather, food, and daily activities. HSK 1 and HSK 2 share 100 handwritten characters, while writing is not tested in HSK 1.
