The New HSK 3.0 standard will be fully rolled out by July 2026. Until then, many test centers are in a transition phase. We provide resources for both HSK 2.0 and 3.0 to ensure you are fully prepared.
For HSK 1-4, the difficulty is actually decreasing in the 2026 version. However, for Advanced levels (7-9), the system is more comprehensive and challenging.
For HSK 1, handwriting is not required. Starting from HSK 2, a handwriting test is introduced. HSK 1 and 2 share a pool of 100 basic characters you must know how to write by hand.
Yes. Starting from HSK 3, an oral examination is mandatory. It has three parts: Listen and Repeat, Speak based on Pictures, and Answer Questions.
HSK 7, 8, and 9 are combined into a single exam. Your level (7, 8, or 9) is determined by your final score. Covers five skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, Translation, and Speaking.
